  • general overview of what services we do

  • no timeline currently
• sufmo still have not gotten back to me for cleaning soryr michealsls
• sufmo doesn't like that we got a couch without telling them
  • they are not obligated to bring it to the room
• sbwilliams: 24/7 access for earl warren datacenter
  • also need to grab the broken power supply

• sbwilliams: we have some eecs group sponsoring us, but both we and the datacenter people don't know who; no documentation

• elenah: we wanted to move cd drive to more visible location; potentially near scanner?
  • michaelzls: alternatively, replace one of scanners with cd drive
    • will create a bottleneck, as people use the scanners a lot
    • however, not that many people use the drive, so potentially not an issue?
  • sbwilliams: could put in opstaff pc to prevent theft and to make bottleneck less likely
    • also much less visible
  • this one doesn't have blu-ray support, potentially get another
  • usb reader might be best so that we can use a newer pc / dual monitor one
    • then, cable lock to prevent theft
    • or have it on request + ask for ids
    • want to make sure it can be used for many formats
      • CD R/W, CDROM, BluRay R/W, DVD R/W, MDISK R/W
  • will make a poster for visibility

  • jane street money deposited today; +25K in misc
• need to buy toner collectoin unit, 5 drums for colour printers
• elenah: high capacity tray set for paper
  • need to confirm it is compatible with out printers, seemingly correct
  • take stress off opstaff, don't have to refill paper as often, especially during finals
  • colour printer: can continue adding 500 sheet trays and stack them, so easy to expand
    • speaking of colour printer: currently not very visable
    • potentially move it closer to center, where other printers are
    • more visible signage would help
    • could also turn off logjam, because it is farther away from the other ones and confuses people sometimes
    • eventually will switch to all color/B+W combo printers, for simplicity and they are better quality
      • want to be careful, because we use knockoff toner that may not be usable in other printers
    • currently, colour is ~70% after two months
  • would more than double the current capacity
